Tidal Keepsakes is a coastal lifestyle publication and shop operated from Pennsylvania, United States. This policy describes how the tidalkeepsakes.com website handles information. You can reach us about anything in this policy at hello@tidalkeepsakes.com.

The only information you actively send us is what you type into the contact form. That form collects your name, email address, subject, and message. We use it to read and reply to your enquiry.

Contact messages are stored in our Lovable Cloud database along with a read/unread status and the date received. Access is restricted to site administrators through database access rules. Messages are deleted automatically once they are more than 12 months old. No outside email provider currently processes contact submissions.

With your consent, we record a small amount of anonymous engagement information so we can tell which guides are genuinely read:

• Scroll depth — how far down a page you reached.
• Active time on page — seconds counted only while the tab is visible.
• Outbound clicks — the page you were on and the link label when a link takes you off the site, including affiliate links.

Each event is grouped by a random session identifier held in your browser's session storage for the length of your visit. It is not linked to your name, email, or any account, and it disappears when you close the tab. We do not collect names, addresses, payment details, or precise location through this site.

The site stores a few values on your own device rather than on our servers:

• Shopping cart — the items you have added, so your cart survives page changes.
• Tracking consent choice — your answer to the privacy banner.
• Tracking opt-out — set only if you use the opt-out page.
• Sign-in session — for site administrators who log in.
• Anonymous engagement session identifier — described above, only while tracking is consented to.

Cart storage, the consent choice, the opt-out flag, and the sign-in session are necessary for the site to work or to honour your own preferences, so they are not covered by the consent banner.

When you first visit, a banner asks whether you accept optional tracking. Optional tracking means the engagement analytics above and the Pinterest Tag. Neither runs until you accept. You can change your answer at any time on the tracking preferences page, which also holds a per-browser opt-out switch that blocks the same tracking outright. Both settings are stored per browser and per device.

The site includes the Pinterest Tag for conversion measurement. It only loads when a Pinterest Tag ID has been configured and you have accepted optional tracking. At the time this policy was published no Pinterest Tag ID is configured, so the tag does not load and sends nothing to Pinterest. Pinterest's own privacy policy applies to any data it receives once the tag is active. Pinterest "Save" buttons and board links open Pinterest directly, where Pinterest's policies apply.

Tidal Keepsakes participates in the Amazon Associates program. Links to Amazon carry our associate tag so qualifying purchases can be attributed to us. Following such a link takes you to Amazon, where Amazon's own privacy policy and cookies apply — we do not receive your order details, payment information, or account information from Amazon. When optional tracking is accepted, we record that an outbound link was clicked, as described above.

Curated shell box orders are completed through Shopify checkout. Shopify collects and processes the details you enter there, including your name, contact details, shipping address, and payment information, and handles the payment. Those details are governed by Shopify's privacy policy and by our use of Shopify as our store platform. We use order information to fulfil and support your order.

Free guides and printables download directly from this site. You do not need to give us an email address or create an account to download them, and we do not attach your identity to a download.

Our articles link to Amazon, Pinterest, Shopify, and other outside websites. We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of those sites; their own policies apply once you leave Tidal Keepsakes.

Contact messages and engagement records are held in our managed Lovable Cloud database, protected by database access rules that limit reading them to signed-in site administrators. Traffic to this site is served over HTTPS. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

This site is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

If you would like a copy of a contact message you sent, or would like it deleted before the 12-month retention period ends, email hello@tidalkeepsakes.com from the address you used and we will handle it. Because the engagement information described above is anonymous and not tied to you, we generally cannot locate or remove individual records — the consent banner and opt-out page prevent it from being collected in the first place.

If our practices change we will update this page and revise the effective date shown above.
